Strengthening international cooperation in education and training.

Strengthening international cooperation in education and training, and implementing the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Son La province and the northern provinces of Laos, from 1969 to the present, Son La province has trained thousands of cadres, students, and trainees for the northern provinces of Laos at educational institutions within the province. Recently, our province has issued policies to support Lao students during their studies at Northwest University, Son La College, and Son La Medical College. In addition, training institutions regularly organize cultural, artistic, sports, and experiential activities, such as: celebrating Bunpimay Tet (Vietnamese New Year), the Vietnamese Lunar New Year; activities to celebrate the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic; competitions on Vietnamese-Lao culture, sports competitions; and Vietnamese language clubs. The province organizes study tours and experiential learning for Lao students at revolutionary historical sites, cultural relics and festivals, and scenic spots in Son La province and some other provinces of Vietnam. The Son La Department of Education and Training is authorized by the Provincial People's Committee to provide comprehensive advice on the training of Lao students. From 2001 to the present, Son La province has trained 2,294 Lao students who have graduated at various levels (intermediate, college, university, and master's degrees); a total of 3,939 Lao students have received Vietnamese language training.

Over the years, Son La province has In coordination with the provinces of Northern Laos, we organized seminars and exchange programs to discuss solutions for improving the quality of education and training between the Department of Education and Training of Son La province and the Departments of Education and Sports of the provinces of Northern Laos. At the seminar, delegates exchanged and shared experiences in educational management and development, effective solutions for improving the quality of education and training, and cooperation in training Lao students. Based on this, they will continue to advise provincial leaders on policies and solutions to effectively lead and direct educational development; and simultaneously propose and contribute quality ideas to further implement effective cooperation in the field of education. Improving the quality of human resource training for the provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic will not only contribute to training highly competent officials in the neighboring country, but also help affirm the special solidarity, friendship, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States, and between Son La province and the northern provinces of Laos, making the relationship even stronger.
