Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Writing Contest on "Advanced role models, good people, good deeds in patriotic emulation movements" in Son La province, period 2023-2025.

The writing contest "Typical advanced examples, good people, good deeds in patriotic emulation movements" in Son La province, period 2023-2025 was launched by the Provincial People's Committee from June 2024. The contest aims to promote the discovery, introduction, propaganda, and replication of outstanding typical advanced examples, good people, good deeds in studying, working, labor, production, and business; kind-hearted, benevolent people, brave examples... with good and creative ways of doing things, specific actions and deeds associated with "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style", making positive contributions to socio-economic development, maintaining local defense and security, and creating positive spillovers to the community.

Contestants are all citizens who are working, studying, working and living in the province. Contest products are articles or press works reflecting real people, real events, clear people, clear addresses of typical advanced examples, good people, good deeds residing or studying, working, not fictional. Typical advanced examples, good people, good deeds are new factors, events discovered in the emulation movement of the locality, unit, not honored, commended by any agency or organization or have been honored, but continue to have new jobs, have influence and contribute positively and effectively to the socio-economic development of the locality, unit.

Each article must not exceed 2,000 words; radio and television works must not exceed 7 minutes in length. For press works published and broadcast on mass media. The time for receiving entries is from the time of launching the contest until the end of June 2025. The award ceremony is expected to be held on the occasion of the 6th Provincial Patriotic Emulation Congress in 2025.

Comrade La Minh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Son La Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Head of the Contest Jury spoke at the meeting.

At the meeting, the draft assignment of tasks for members of the Organizing Committee, the Jury, and the Secretariat to assist with the contest was approved. Delegates gave their opinions on the contest implementation plan, scoring criteria, content, format of entries, time, etc. to ensure the contest achieves the highest results.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Contest Organizing Committee spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong requested the Department of Home Affairs - the Standing body of the Organizing Committee of the contest to receive the opinions of the members to continue to amend and supplement the regulations, assign tasks, complete them soon for promulgation and timely implementation; mobilize more members to assist the Jury to participate in the preliminary round, evaluation, and organization of marking of the exam papers. The Organizing Committee and press agencies actively promote the contest, ensuring quality, savings and efficiency; contributing to attracting, spreading, and mobilizing the participation of a large number of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, students and people. Choosing the right examples of good people, good deeds, and typical examples that truly have the power to spread, creating a competitive atmosphere to celebrate the 130th Anniversary of the Province's Founding (October 10, 1895 - October 10, 2025), the 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, and the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress of Son La Province, 2025.
