On September 24th, Team 1 of the Road Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police temporarily seized the vehicle driven by Mr. Nguyen Huy Hai for violations including driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to obey a stop signal.
Authorities have impounded the vehicle driven by Nguyen Duy Hai.
At approximately 7:00 AM on September 24th, at kilometer marker 161+500 on National Highway 6, in Long Luong commune, Van Ho district, the Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 of the Provincial Police Department signaled a vehicle with license plate 29H-692.11 to stop for an alcohol test. However, the driver refused to comply and fled towards Son La via Provincial Road 101, within the territory of Long Luong commune, Van Ho district.
The task force pursued the vehicle and ordered the driver to comply, but the suspect continued to flee, swerving and weaving erratically, disregarding the order. Seeing the driver's behavior endangering other road users, the task force coordinated with the Traffic Police and Order Team of Van Ho District Police to stop the vehicle, but the suspect continued to flee towards Moc Chau District. The task force then coordinated with the Traffic Police and Order Team of Moc Chau District Police to stop and inspect the vehicle. After more than an hour of pursuit, the task force managed to stop the vehicle in Nong Truong town, Moc Chau District. Through alcohol and drug testing, the task force identified the driver as Nguyen Huy Hai, born in 1990, residing in Nong Truong town, Moc Chau District, who had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.705 mg/l.
Based on the violations, the task force drew up a report, temporarily seized the vehicle, and is continuing to investigate and clarify the matter.
