The "Beautiful City" exhibition area of ​​Son La province, representing Vietnam at the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO 2023), has the theme "Son La - Center for Clean Agricultural Products".

To prepare for participation in the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO 2023), the Son La Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee have focused on directing and allocating the best resources and closely coordinating with the Ministry of Industry and Trade in preparing and organizing the "Beautiful City" exhibition area and participating in the series of events. Specifically, the Son La Provincial People's Committee has issued a plan assigning relevant departments and units to proactively coordinate with units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and related units to advise on and prepare the necessary conditions for successfully organizing the exhibition area showcasing Son La province, ensuring it is dignified, attractive, and impressive, reflecting the unique characteristics of Son La province. They have also selected and prepared cultural performances that are rich in the identity and unique characteristics of the ethnic groups of Son La province. Encouraging businesses and cooperatives in the province to participate, 13 large-scale manufacturing and trading enterprises directly participated in the Fair, showcasing 52 of Son La province's most distinctive products, especially processed agricultural products with potential and advantages such as: coffee, cassava starch, tea, longan; processed agricultural products from the DOVECO Son La Agricultural Processing Center; and fresh fruits (longan, banana, passion fruit, dragon fruit),…

The "Beautiful City" exhibition area in Son La province will showcase and introduce three areas: Investment, highlighting socio-economic development achievements, investment potential and strengths, investment attraction portfolios, and investment attraction policies of Son La province; Tourism, featuring images and videos of the people and distinctive culture of Son La province, scenic spots, tourist areas, traditional festivals, and tourism products and tours; and Commerce, showcasing clean agricultural products, including four fresh fruit products (mango, longan, dragon fruit, passion fruit), 52 processed agricultural products (coffee, tea, cassava starch, sugar, dried longan, etc.), and unique and impressive promotional materials and publications to introduce to visitors.

To date, Son La province has fully prepared products, publications, and diplomatic gifts for delegates from various countries visiting the Exhibition Area (including: tea, coffee, milk cakes, dried mangoes, canned pineapples, canned corn kernels, longan, and Piêu scarves) to be transported to Nanning City, Guangxi, China, and has completed the display, promotion, and introduction work at the Exhibition Area.

Through its participation in CAEXPO 2023, Son La province aims to convey the message of a beautiful land with many scenic spots, rich cultural identity, development potential, and as the "Center for Clean Agricultural Products" of Vietnam, ready to cooperate and develop together with domestic and foreign partners in general, and partners from China and ASEAN countries in particular.
