Thanks to that, in the first 9 months of the year, the total number of visitors to Son La reached over 3.8 million tourists, down 6%; revenue was estimated at about 4,565 billion VND, up 6% over the same period last year.
In 2024, Son La sets a goal of welcoming about 5.5 million tourists to visit and relax, striving for revenue of over 5,500 billion VND.
To achieve the above goal, localities have had and are having many policies to promote tourism, based on the potential and advantages of the locality to create attraction for tourists. Focus on promoting close cooperation between localities, tourism and travel businesses to promote and advertise tourism, research solutions to both maintain traditional tourist markets and target tourist markets in the Central and Southern provinces and foreign tourist markets.
