After a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2023 China-ASEAN Expo will return as a major gathering point for ASEAN and Chinese businesses, as well as other international enterprises. The expo will instill confidence in businesses to restore and develop trade and investment cooperation with richer and more practical content. This event is part of a series of activities commemorating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the China-ASEAN Strategic Partnership.

The Vietnamese trade pavilion at the 20th China-ASEAN Expo features 120 businesses with 200 booths, covering a total area of ​​approximately 4,000 square meters. Vietnam continues to have the largest booth size at the Expo, after the host country, China. This year's theme is "Building a Common Home, a Community of Shared Destiny Towards the Future - Promoting the Belt and Road Initiative for High-Quality Development and Building Economic Growth Centers."

Son La Province had the honor of representing Vietnam in the "City of Charm" exhibition area at the fair. Son La Province chose the theme "Son La - Center for Clean Agricultural Products". With a total area of ​​184m2, the exhibition area was elaborately designed, reflecting the unique characteristics of Son La Province, and showcasing three areas: Investment, introducing socio-economic development achievements, investment potential and strengths, investment attraction portfolios, and investment attraction policies of Son La Province; Tourism, introducing images and videos of the people and distinctive culture of Son La Province, scenic spots, tourist areas, traditional festivals, and tourism products and tours of Son La Province; In the commercial sector, showcasing clean agricultural products, the exhibition featured 4 fresh fruit products (mango, longan, dragon fruit, passion fruit), 52 processed agricultural products (coffee, tea, cassava starch, sugar, dried longan, etc.), and unique and impressive promotional materials and publications that attracted the attention of numerous delegates and visitors attending the fair.
