In the early morning of September 26th, the "Helping Children Go to School" bus departed from Hanoi for Son La.
To directly deliver gifts from generous donors to students in Bac Yen district (Son La province), in the early morning of September 26th, while Hanoi was still asleep, the vehicles of the charitable group from Vietnam Family Magazine and other benefactors rolled towards Xim Vang.
After traveling hundreds of kilometers and more than eight hours continuously crossing mountain passes and steep slopes, with many sections of road blocked by landslides and flooding, the Vietnam Family's vehicle finally arrived in Bac Yen district, Son La province.

Due to the impact of storms and heavy rain, many roads in Son La were affected by landslides, making the delegation's journey very difficult.
The first destination for the volunteer group upon arriving in Bac Yen was Suoi Trang school in Phieng Con commune. Located 8km from the commune center, the road to the school was even more difficult due to recent storms, landslides, and slippery conditions.
To get to the school, the group split into smaller teams, borrowing motorbikes to transport members and various gifts to the school in turn.

The classroom for the students at Suoi Trang school is the village's cultural center, nestled deep in the mountains.
Here, witnessing the plight of 12 first and second graders having to study together in a village cultural house nestled in the mountains, the delegation surveyed the situation and provided support for the construction of a three-room classroom, hoping to provide the children with a more spacious and clean learning environment.
The delegation also presented the school with 12 scholarships worth 1 million VND each, as well as blankets, candies, and milk for the students at Suoi Trang school.

Unable to hide his joy and emotion at the arrival of the Vietnamese Family volunteer group at the school, Mr. Lo Van Duong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phieng Con commune - said that this is a very meaningful activity, a great source of encouragement and support for the people in the highlands.
"Today, the Vietnamese Family Association visited Suoi Trang village to survey the construction of a three-room classroom and donated many gifts to the students. All the commune leaders are very happy and excited. Leaving Phiêng Côn commune on September 27th, the "Together with You to School" convoy of Vietnam Family Magazine continued its journey to Xím Vàng Kindergarten, Primary & Secondary School (Bắc Yên district, Sơn La province).

Here, nearly 5000 warm blankets, mosquito nets, pillows, winter boots, winter uniforms, along with school supplies, notebooks, backpacks, school medical equipment, sports equipment, lighting, bowls, preschool toys, and over 1000 gifts (sweets, milk, etc.) and many scholarships were donated to the students.

Also as part of the program, Hoa Sua Vocational and Tourism College (Hanoi) awarded two completely free vocational training courses to two students aged 16 and above. The courses last one year (all tuition, materials, food, and accommodation are free, and the school will help students find employment after graduation), worth 60 million VND.

Seeing firsthand the simple, makeshift houses perched on the cliffs, constructed of wood and devoid of any valuable possessions, many members of the delegation were deeply moved by the extremely difficult and impoverished lives of the local people.
Here, the delegation presented three families with cash and essential supplies, hoping to share their difficulties and provide them with encouragement.

According to the plan, the gift-giving program in Xim Vang was scheduled to start in early September. However, due to landslides and Typhoon No. 3, the "Helping Children Go to School" program was postponed and held on September 26-27.
