On September 30th,Son La provinceThe Provincial Party Committee Executive Board held a meeting to consider and decide on matters within its authority. The meeting was chaired by comrades: Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

The conference was attended by leaders from the Research Department.Central Committee for Mass Mobilization; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee, members of the Provincial Inspection Committee; leaders of provincial departments and agencies; Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts and cities.

At the conference, Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh informed and disseminated information on several new contents and documents from the Central Committee, such as: the results of the 10th Central Committee Conference of the 13th term; Guidance No. 27-HD/BTCTW dated August 26, 2024, of the Central Organization Committee guiding some contents of Directive No. 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024, of the Politburo on party congresses at all levels leading to the 14th National Congress of the Party; Official Letter No. 4985-CV/UBKTTW dated September 25, 2024, of the Central Inspection Committee requesting opinions on the draft guidance on inspection and supervision work serving party congresses at all levels leading to the 14th National Congress of the Party; and directives from the Central Committee related to overcoming the consequences of Typhoon No. 3 (YAGI)...

Comrade Lo Minh Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, reported on and incorporated the feedback on the draft: the Report of the Provincial Party Committee on the results of leadership in implementing tasks for the first nine months and key tasks for the fourth quarter of 2024; and the Subcommittee on Documents' submission regarding the approval of the detailed outline of the Political Report and the Review Report of the XV Provincial Party Committee to be presented at the XVI Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

The Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee reported on the implementation and disbursement of public investment capital plans for the first nine months, tasks and solutions for the last three months of 2024; and the work of preventing, responding to, and mitigating the consequences of natural disasters in the province.

Over the past nine months, despite numerous difficulties and challenges, thanks to the efforts and determination of the entire political system, the Party Committee, the government, and the people of all ethnic groups in the province, the socio-economic situation, national defense, security, and foreign affairs of the province have remained basically stable and achieved many positive results.

The province's gross domestic product (GDP) is estimated at VND 25,706 billion, an increase of 7.2% compared to the same period last year. Budget revenue is estimated at over VND 2,740 billion; disbursement of public investment capital reached VND 1,972 billion. The value of goods participating in exports reached USD 137.6 million, an increase of 7.6% compared to the same period last year; the industrial production index increased by 27% compared to the same period last year. Service and tourism activities in the province continued to grow significantly. The cultural and social sectors saw many positive changes; social security and social protection policies were implemented promptly; political security and social order were maintained; and foreign relations were strengthened.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh requested that Party committees, Party leadership boards, district and city Party committees, and subordinate Party committees focus on decisively implementing solutions to increase revenue, save on budget expenditures, accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital, and implement national target programs. He also urged accelerating the progress and implementation of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway construction project; strengthening the management of planning, land, construction order, resources, and minerals in conjunction with environmental protection; and effectively implementing plans and measures for disaster prevention, response, mitigation, and recovery; focusing on stabilizing the lives and production of people affected by floods and heavy rains.

Simultaneously, the province will issue and effectively implement plans to organize activities commemorating the 130th anniversary of the province's founding, and activities celebrating the 85th anniversary of the Provincial Party Committee's traditional day and the 85th anniversary of the Son La Prison Party Branch. It will continue to support the elimination of temporary housing for poor households; mobilize and allocate funds to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in the province. It will implement the reorganization of district and commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2030 period. It will focus on implementing Directive No. 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024, of the Politburo on party congresses at all levels leading to the 14th National Congress of the Party; and organize preliminary reviews and evaluations of several resolutions and projects of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to serve the preparation of documents for the 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, as planned.
