(yenchau.sonla.gov.vn) On September 18th, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam, Seng Phet Hung Bun Nhuong, visited and worked in Yen Chau district, Son La province. Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Le Hong Minh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of several provincial departments and agencies. Receiving the Ambassador and the delegation were Mr. Tong The Anh, Provincial Party Committee Member and Secretary of the District Party Committee; and Ms. Me Thi Ha, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee.
In an atmosphere of profound solidarity and friendship, on behalf of the district leaders, Comrade Tong The Anh warmly welcomed the delegation from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam. He also provided information on some outstanding achievements in socio-economic development, political security, social order and safety, border security, and cooperation with districts of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Over the past period, Yen Chau district has continued to maintain a strong and special relationship of solidarity and friendship with Xieng Khouang district, Hua Phan province, Lao People's Democratic Republic; promoting exchanges, coordinating implementation, and providing mutual assistance in all fields; preserving, nurturing, and developing the relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general, and between Yen Chau district and Xieng Khouang district in particular, ensuring it remains ever-lasting and enduring. The District Party Secretary congratulated the Ambassador on successfully completing his term of service in Vietnam and making important contributions to the bilateral relationship. He also expressed gratitude for the affection and concern shown by the Lao Embassy delegation towards Yen Chau district.
Ambassador Seng Phet Hung Bun Nhuong expressed his gratitude for the thoughtful and respectful reception from the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of the Yen Chau District Party Committee; and congratulated Yen Chau District on its achievements in various fields. He also highly appreciated Yen Chau District's assistance to Xieng Kho District of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, especially in infrastructure investment and the transfer and application of scientific and technological advancements in agricultural development. He hoped that Yen Chau District would continue to pay close attention to and cooperate with districts of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in various fields, contributing to deepening and strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Later that afternoon, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam, Seng Phet Hung Bun Nhuong, and his delegation visited the late-ripening longan cultivation model of Phuong Nam Cooperative in Long Phieng commune.
