Also as part of the young officers' activities, both sides planted friendship trees and friendship flower gardens in the area on either side of border marker 255, contributing to beautifying the landscape in the border area between Vietnam and Laos.
To improve the lives of people living in the border areas of the two countries, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence donated 60 breeding cows to 60 households residing in the border provinces of Son La and Hua Phan.
