Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Son La Provincial Public Employees' Union.

At the commemoration ceremony, delegates reviewed the 30-year tradition of building and developing the Provincial Public Employees' Union (PEU). On October 1, 1994, the Provincial PEU was established according to Decision No. 28/QD-TC LĐLĐ of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor. Through six congresses, the Provincial PEU now has 69 affiliated grassroots unions, divided into five competitive blocs, with a total of 3,661 members. Over the past 30 years, the grassroots unions have recommended nearly 1,800 new Party members for admission, developed nearly 2,000 new union members, and on average, 98.5% of grassroots unions achieved good or excellent performance in their tasks annually.

Over the years, the Provincial Trade Union of Civil Servants has effectively carried out the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members and workers, focusing on mobilizing resources to organize practical and effective activities aimed at union members and workers. It has supported the construction of over 40 "Trade Union Shelters," facilitated 10 loan projects to support employment for union members and workers' families, with a total loan amount exceeding 500 million VND; and visited and presented gifts to nearly 10,000 union members with a value of over 10 billion VND. Local trade unions have contributed over 40 billion VND to various funds and charitable activities.

Through emulation movements, more than 500 projects and tasks were implemented by grassroots trade unions in coordination with professional departments to celebrate the Party Congress, the Trade Union Congress at all levels, and various holidays and anniversaries throughout the year, with a value of nearly 25 billion VND. In addition, more than 6,000 initiatives, improvements in working methods, and scientific research projects were put into application, contributing billions of VND and many other benefits to agencies and units.

Speaking at the commemoration ceremony, Ms. Thai Thi Mai, Standing Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor, acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Provincial Trade Union of Civil Servants over the past 30 years. She also requested that grassroots trade unions continue to uphold their traditions, strive to excel in fulfilling their assigned tasks, and successfully implement the tasks of the Trade Union organization in the coming period.

The Provincial Labor Federation and the Vietnam Public Employees' Union presented commemorative medals to the individuals.

On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Union presented the "For the Cause of Building the Trade Union Organization" commemorative medal from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 6 individuals; the Provincial Labor Union awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 2 individuals; the Vietnam Public Employees' Union awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 5 individuals for outstanding achievements in implementing the campaign to build "Loyal, Responsible, Honest, and Creative" cadres, civil servants, and public employees in the period 2018 - 2023; and the Provincial Public Employees' Union awarded certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 10 individuals for outstanding achievements in the process of building and developing the Provincial Public Employees' Union.

Comrade Thai Thi Mai presented the second prize to Comrade Lu Van Tuyen, from the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department.

The Provincial Labor Union awarded 1 second prize, 3 third prizes, and 7 consolation prizes to 11 individuals who won the online competition to learn about the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Labor Union Congress and the Resolution of the 13th Vietnam Labor Union Congress.
