Son La promotes infrastructure development

After 3 years of implementing Resolution 05-NQ/TU dated January 21, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee, term XV, on the development of socio-economic infrastructure in a synchronous manner for the 2021-2025 period, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee has directed all levels and sectors to focus on investing in the construction of key transport projects: Deploying preparation work for investment in the construction of the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway, the section in the province; completing the construction of the National Highway 6 bypass of Son La city; completing the project to socialize Na San Airport.

Continue to promote the movement of building rural roads in association with the National Target Program on New Rural Development. Up to now, the whole province has 79 communes meeting traffic criteria; 201/204 roads to commune centers have been paved; the proportion of rural population using clean water has reached 40.2%; the proportion of rural population supplied with hygienic water has reached 98%. Gradually build and develop a complete urban system of the province with synchronous and modern infrastructure.

Implementing Resolution No. 07-NQ/TU dated January 21, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee, term XV, on the orientation of investment attraction activities in Son La province in the period of 2021-2025, the total social investment capital in 2021-2024 reached 67,045 billion VND, with 52 projects completing production activities with a total implemented capital of about 14,872 billion VND, contributing about 22% of the total social investment capital. Approving investment policies and investment registration certificates for 81 projects, with a total registered investment capital of 30,079 billion VND...

At the conference to review 3 years of implementing Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU and Resolution No. 07-NQ/TU dated January 21, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee, term XV, Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La Province, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee directed to accelerate the progress of investment preparation and project implementation for key projects. Develop and implement the development of a public investment plan for 2025 to ensure 100% completion of the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025. Promote the socialization of investment in infrastructure development, encourage the attraction of non-budgetary capital for investment in infrastructure development in a synchronous and modern direction.

Son La is promoting investment attraction, including in the agricultural sector. 

At the same time, closely coordinate with relevant central ministries, branches and the Government Office in submitting to the Prime Minister for approval the plan to implement the planning of Son La province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; accelerate the establishment and completion of construction plans, implement projects, as a basis for attracting investment projects, using non-budgetary capital, contributing to promoting infrastructure development in the province.

Regarding Resolution No. 07, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and localities to enhance their responsibility in coordinating the settlement of administrative procedures, participating in appraisal opinions and coordinating the settlement of difficulties and problems for investment projects, especially infrastructure construction investment projects and land use projects.

Continue to promote administrative reform, focusing on reforming administrative procedures, reducing the time and costs for businesses and people, creating a favorable environment to promote production and business. Regarding attracting investment in industrial parks and clusters, research and unify the methods and models for managing and operating industrial parks and clusters, ensuring compliance and consistency with legal regulations.
