Recently, at the Long Sap border gate area (Moc Chau district, Son La province) and Pa Hang (Sop Bau district, Hua Phan province, Laos), the Ministry of National Defense authorized the Border Guard Command to organize a series of activities before the 2nd Vietnam - Laos Border Defense Friendship Exchange in Son La province. Many meaningful activities took place, such as: Awarding 20 "Helping you go to school" scholarships to students on both sides of the border; exchanging young officers; planting a friendship flower garden and a row of friendship trees for young Vietnamese - Lao officers at the national border marker 255; cross-border cross-country running; giving breeding cows to people on both sides of the border...
Of the 60 breeding cows given this time, 12 are pregnant. On October 7, the first cow of Ms. Vi Thi Van's family (Bo Sap village, Long Sap commune, Moc Chau district, Son La province) gave birth to a calf. This is the first result of the breeding cow support program.

Ms. Vi Thi Van happily shared: “When the Border Guards informed us that our family would be supported with a breeding cow, my family was very happy and excited. After receiving the cow, my family took very good care of it and was very surprised that after only 5 days, the breeding cow my family received gave birth, so we had another calf. We are very grateful to the Ministry of National Defense and the Border Guard Command for supporting my family.”
