After three years of implementing Resolution 17-NQ/TU dated August 31, 2021, of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on digital transformation in Son La province for the period 2021-2025, with orientation to 2030, digital transformation in Son La province has been given attention and implemented decisively.

In 2024, Son La province identified a breakthrough in digital transformation with a focus on: digitizing economic sectors, digital governance, digital data, and placing citizens and businesses at the center of the transformation. The province will concentrate on mobilizing resources to comprehensively accelerate digital transformation across three pillars: developing digital government, digital economy, and digital society.

Currently, Son La province has 1,554 fully online public services.

To date, the Son La province's administrative procedure information system has connected and shared data with the National Public Service Portal; it is interconnected and synchronized across all three levels, from the province to the district and commune.

The total number of online public services in Son La province is 1,886, including 312 partially online public services and 1,554 fully online public services.

PresentlySon La provinceCurrently, 2,448 community digital transformation groups with 15,101 members are in operation. As of Q3/2024, Son La has successfully guided people to activate 539,304 level 1 and level 2 electronic identification accounts; the percentage of households with smartphones has reached 96.36%...

Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province, requested that departments, agencies, units, districts, and cities continue to vigorously promote propaganda and communication on digital transformation; do a good job of training and improving basic digital skills, creating and maintaining the habit of using digital technology for cadres, Party members, and all strata of the people.

Directing the development of specific mechanisms and policies to create a legal environment and resources to promote digital transformation in Son La province. Issuing regulations on the management, connection, sharing, and exploitation of digital data in the province's shared information systems and databases.

On this occasion, Son La province awarded prizes for the "Understanding and Promoting Digital Transformation in Son La Province in 2024" competition and the online competition "Understanding Administrative Reform in Son La Province".
