Thanks to the application of digital transformation in developing garden, pond and barn models, young people in Phu Yen, Son La province have an income of nearly 100 million VND per month, becoming a bright spot in digital transformation and economic development of Son La youth.
Ha Van Sang, 28 years old, from Nguon village, Muong Lang commune, Phu Yen district (Son La) used to work as a worker outside the province. However, his monthly income, after deducting all expenses, was not much. Therefore, he always wanted to do some work locally to have a stable income and be close to home.
After a period of working and learning from experience in the lowland provinces, he decided to return to his hometown, take advantage of his family's available land area and gradually implement an economic model of gardens, ponds, and barns associated with digital content development.
Ha Van Sang's simple, intimate videos of peaceful villages have attracted millions of views.
“My model has few people doing it because it is quite new, but I have a passion for technology, equipment for filming machines, recording equipment, and audio recording equipment; moreover, before building this project, I researched a lot online and learned from people who have gone before me, they have knowledge and they shared it with me,” said Ha Van Sang.
From genuine, familiar videos about daily life and labor, such as farming, picking bamboo shoots... with English subtitles, gradually, the videos he made attracted the attention of many people; the number of views, followers, and shares kept increasing, thanks to that, Sang was qualified to earn profit from the videos on Youtube.
In 2022, Ha Van Sang continued to renovate his family's hilly land, invested in barns, dug fish ponds and planted more fruit trees such as longan, mango, macadamia...; at the same time, invested in more video recorders and computers to have quality videos for viewers.

Thanks to his relentless creativity, along with his diligence and hard work, up to now, Sang's garden, pond and barn model has a total area of over 5,000m2; with 750 livestock and poultry of all kinds; a fish pond of over 5,000 fish and 2,000 square meters of seasonal vegetables, tubers and fruits. 2 Youtube channels and 1 Tiktok channel recording Sang's daily work have also reached over 200,000 subscribers and nearly 90,000 followers. These channels continue to receive much attention from the community and audiences.
Ha Van Sang added that during the implementation of the model, he has always received attention and support from the local youth union, party committee, and government. Up to now, the total income from the VAC model combining clean products, close to nature, associated with the development of family digital content has brought a stable income, from 80 - 100 million VND/month: "When I have a stable source of income, I expand and replicate my model, build more good ideas, both to build garden, pond, and barn models in my hometown, to have good films to send to the audience on the channel, and to optimize my income".
Currently, this model gives total income from 80 - 100 million VND/month.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of Son La Provincial Youth Union, said that replicating Ha Van Sang's startup model, Son La Provincial Youth Union chapters at all levels are actively promoting digital transformation for young people through practical activities, such as: Journey to connect digital space; Gen Z and digital; Youth with the mission of reviving culture in the digital age... thereby helping young people access and share accurate information, effectively applying the power of digital platforms and social networks in socio-economic development as well as programs and actions of union members and young people.
“Practical programs and activities accompanying young people in starting and establishing businesses, especially in digital transformation, have created an environment and favorable conditions for youth union members to promote their capacity and creative intelligence, helping them to become rich and actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality,” said Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh.
The initial achievements that Mr. Ha Van Sang has achieved have contributed to "igniting the fire" for young people who are eager to start a business in Son La, especially in applying digital transformation in agricultural economic development. Currently, his model has become a destination for many youth union members inside and outside the district to visit and learn from experience. This is also the model chosen by Phu Yen District Youth Union to participate in the Rural Youth Startup Project Competition in 2024.
