(sonlatv.vn) - On October 11, 2024, Son La province held the 20th Anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2024).
Attending the ceremony were comrade Lo Minh Hung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrade Nguyen Thai Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, and mass organizations of the province; leaders of the Provincial Business Association; representatives of Associations, member organizations and more than 200 typical entrepreneurs and enterprises.
Immediately after the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, on October 13, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh sent a letter to the Vietnamese industrial and commercial community to encourage development and emphasize the role of the industrial and commercial community in the national economy. Inheriting and promoting his ideology, 20 years ago, the Prime Minister decided to take October 13 every year as Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day. Currently, the Vietnamese business community has grown strongly in both quantity and quality, increasingly affirming its important role and contribution to the economy. In Son La province, the business community and entrepreneurs are increasingly developing. By August 2024, the whole province had over 3,667 enterprises; 1,045 cooperatives; over 51,000 business households that have made many important contributions to the growth and stability of the socio-economy, actively contributing to solving employment and income for workers; Contribute to the state budget and implement social security policies.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Lo Minh Hung affirmed that in recent years, Son La province has regularly paid attention to and accompanied businesses; implemented support policies, improved the investment environment, attracted investment capital from domestic and foreign enterprises; resolutely directed administrative procedure reform, created favorable conditions for businesses to develop comprehensively, achieving high efficiency in production and business activities.
At the Ceremony, 10 individuals received medals for the cause of developing Vietnamese enterprises and medals for the cause of building and developing Son La province. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry; Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises awarded certificates of merit to 36 groups and 27 individuals who had many outstanding achievements in production and business, contributed to the state budget; and actively participated in social security work.
On this occasion, the Son La Provincial Business Association transferred 938 million VND from businesses and entrepreneurs in the province to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to support people to overcome the consequences of floods.
