Earlier, at 3 PM on September 17th, the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Military-Civilian Medical Station (Long Sap Border Gate Border Guard Post, Moc Chau District) received four Lao children: Va Thi Xia, 10 years old; Va Thi Nenh, 8 years old; Va Thi Ly, 5 years old; and Va Thi Di, 2 years old, all residing in Muong village, Sop Bau district, Hua Phan province. They suffered from mushroom poisoning with symptoms of vomiting and acute diarrhea. Their families brought them to the medical station, where they were promptly treated by four military medical officers: Major Hoang Van Nguyen, Major Pham Thien Thuat, Major Pham Manh Hung, and Lieutenant Tong Van Tinh. Their health is now stable.

Over the past period, military medical personnel have detected and promptly provided medical treatment to many people in border areas.
The actions of the military medical officers demonstrated the special friendship and mutual support between the two countries, nations, and peoples of Vietnam and Laos. At the same time, it clearly showed the affection of the "military doctors in green uniforms" for the people in the border areas on both sides.

Many cases of serious illness have been detected and treated promptly. Therefore, the close relationship between the military and the people in the border region of the two countries has become increasingly strong, strengthening the solidarity between the military and the people and gradually eliminating long-standing outdated customs.
