Workshop to assess the impact of policies supporting fruit tree development in Son La.

The workshop was part of the research project "Consultation, critique, and social assessment of the impact of policies supporting fruit tree development in Son La province from 2017 to the present." The project was chaired by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Son La province, with Ms. Pham Thi Ha, Chairperson of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Son La province, as the project leader. At the workshop, the project leader presented an overview of the natural, economic, and social conditions affecting the development of fruit trees and fruit-derived products in the province; and the implementation of fruit tree policies in the province from 2017 to 2022.

 The delegates attending the workshop focused their discussions on: assessing the impact of fruit tree development policies in Son La province from 2017 to the present, recommendations and solutions for the future; the impact of policies on exploiting the potential and strengths of fruit-growing areas and fruit products associated with market development, chain linkages in production, processing, and consumption of fruit products in the province, difficulties and solutions for the future; State and Son La province policies on fruit trees, assessing the limitations of these policies and solutions; the impact of policies on the transformation of the structure, area, and technical methods of fruit tree cultivation; fruit products; the impact of policies on the development of enterprises, cooperatives, processing facilities, and processing technologies for fruit products…
