The 2nd Festival of Reporters and "Young Theory" Clubs of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Son La Province was held from July 2024. The Organizing Committee received 17 entries from 12 units. Based on the preliminary round scores of the Jury, the Organizing Committee selected 10 candidates to participate in the final round.

In the "Talented Reporter" contest, candidates will choose to present a topic on the following content: Current situation, good solutions, new ways of doing things, typical models in implementing the work of the Youth Union and youth movements in localities and units to carry out the tasks, goals and targets of the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress, the Resolution of the 13th Provincial Youth Union Congress and resolutions of the Youth Union congresses at all levels; new topics of current and prominent nature, issues that are of interest to Youth Union members and youth, or specific situations and events occurring in localities and units, affecting the situation and thoughts of youth and influencing the process of implementing the work of the Youth Union and youth movements in the past time.

In the form of a live presentation on stage, within 10 minutes, the contestants flexibly used supporting tools, presentation diagrams, charts, images, and videos to illustrate their presentations. The contestants confidently demonstrated their understanding, applied practical experiences, and gave good speeches on issues related to improving the effectiveness of educating revolutionary ideals, patriotism, and national pride for the young generation at present; solutions to strengthen the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, and fight against erroneous and hostile views in cyberspace...

The Organizing Committee has selected 5 contestants with the highest scores in the "Talented Reporter" competition from the following units: Chieng Khoi Commune Youth Union, Yen Chau District; Chieng Den Commune Youth Union, Son La City; Ngoc Chien Commune Youth Union, Muong La District; Sop Cop District Government Youth Union and Tay Bac University's Young Theory Club to enter the "Acumen Reporter" competition this afternoon.
