At the meeting, Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Cong said: Son La currently has more than 3,660 enterprises, with a total registered capital of over 77,000 billion VND. Although it has achieved development, Son La enterprises are mainly small and micro enterprises, the proportion of enterprises in industry groups is still unbalanced; there have not been many enterprises with deep processing capacity, and there are not many branded products on the market. From the above limitations, Son La province hopes to receive support from the leaders of Thanh Hoa province and departments, branches and sectors, and exchange experiences on implementing support policies to attract investment, develop enterprises and cooperatives; build and deploy industrial clusters; build linkage chains to connect production, consumption, and promote the export of goods, especially agricultural products with advantages of Son La province.

Next, Mr. Nguyen Van Thi, Standing Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, provided general information about the development scale of Thanh Hoa province's enterprises; policies that Thanh Hoa province is implementing to support small and medium enterprises such as capital, institutions, administrative reforms, the implementation of support activities, digital transformation; contributions of the business community to the development goals of Thanh Hoa province. At the same time, he affirmed: Thanh Hoa always identifies enterprises as the foundation and driving force of the economy. Therefore, the government always accompanies and leads to support small and medium enterprises; directs all levels and sectors to make policies, create legal corridors, and take part in removing difficulties in accessing production resources such as capital, land, building start-up funds, and developing business development projects; removing difficulties and obstacles for enterprises to develop production and business. Thanh Hoa province will support and create conditions for Son La province's enterprises to connect and access the large consumer market in Thanh Hoa as well as coordinate with Thanh Hoa's enterprises to link deep processing chains, increase promotion, and aim for exports to increase the value of goods.

At the meeting, the leaders of the two provinces and departments and branches of the two provinces discussed and exchanged experiences in developing industrial clusters; implementing policies to support small and medium enterprises; experiences and effectiveness in implementing investment connection and trade promotion programs; and agreed on the proposal of Son La province to organize a program to display and introduce Son La province's products in Thanh Hoa in the fourth quarter of 2024.
