(sonla.gov.vn) Recently, from September 16 to September 19, 2023, Vietnam participated in the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO 2023) and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS 2023) in Nanning City, Guangxi, China. The CAEXPO Fair was held not only as an important economic and political event in multilateral cooperation between China and ASEAN, but also brought practical benefits to the promotion and development of economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China and ASEAN countries, as well as for Vietnamese enterprises participating in the Fair.

Vietnam's pavilion is the second largest in scale among the countries attending the 2023 CAEXPO Fair.
CAEXPO 2023 has a total of 5,400 booths, 1,953 enterprises/46 countries. Of which, ASEAN countries and other countries participate in about 1,500 booths of 644 enterprises. According to statistics from the Organizing Committee, the total number of trade visitors and transactions at the Fair is estimated at over 150,000, the Fair welcomed 104 official business delegations from 18 countries and territories to trade, including 55 international business delegations. More than 70 trade sessions and trade promotion activities were organized, in which 30 enterprises signed transactions.
The national pavilion with the theme "Beautiful City" of Vietnam at this Fair was elaborately built on an area of 180m2, focusing on promoting the characteristics and products of Son La province in particular and the development and tourism potential of the Northwest region of Vietnam in general with the theme: "Vietnam - Son La - Center of Clean Agricultural Products", along with artistic performances imbued with the cultural identity of the Northwest region of Vietnam taking place throughout the Fair attracted a large number of international visitors and Chinese audiences, especially many high-ranking delegations from ASEAN countries and China.

The national pavilion with the theme "Beautiful City" of Vietnam represented by Son La province created its own unique features and great attraction.
The Vietnamese business delegation participated with more than 120 enterprises from more than 20 provinces and cities across the country, displaying 200 booths on an area of over 4,000m2. Enterprises participating in the Fair belong to groups of industries with potential and export strengths of Vietnam such as: agricultural products, processed foods, consumer goods, handicrafts and wooden furniture... The Vietnamese business delegation continues to have the second largest scale among the countries participating in the CAEXPO 2023 Fair (after the host country China).
According to the preliminary report of Vietnamese enterprises and the Fair Organizing Committee, during the Fair, the Vietnamese pavilion welcomed more than 55,000 visitors from Chinese and international enterprises and the public to trade and visit. The total value of trade transactions, contracts negotiated, signed and sales at the Fair exceeded 50 million USD. In particular, the National Pavilion with the theme "Beautiful City" of Vietnam strongly and effectively promoted the specialties of Son La province along with many unique features of the mountains and forests, ethnic cultures of the Northwest region, creating its own unique features and great attraction.

At the end of the CAEXPO 2023 Fair, Vietnam was honored to receive 3 important awards from the Organizing Committee, including: Best country for organizing enterprises to exhibit at the Fair; Best country for organizing enterprises to visit and trade at the Fair; Country for designing and organizing the most impressive National Pavilion with the theme "Beautiful City".
