During the meeting, the Son La Provincial Police and the Hua Phan Provincial Police held discussions and agreed on an assessment and exchange of information regarding security and order maintenance work from the beginning of 2024 to the present.

Based on the signed memorandum, the police forces of the two provinces have strengthened close cooperation and coordination in combating and preventing the subversive plots and activities of hostile forces, intensifying the fight against all types of crime, especially drug-related crimes, and resolving issues related to security and order, and border security between the provinces.

Notably, they have coordinated investigations and uncovered many large-scale drug trafficking rings across the border; maintained good exchanges of experience in ensuring security and order - border security; regularly educated and propagated to the people on both sides of the border to effectively implement the Border Regulations Agreement; closely coordinated and promptly resolved issues arising in each area, contributing to building, consolidating, and maintaining stable security and order in the region.

On this occasion, the police forces of the two provinces signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in ensuring security and order in 2025; the Son La Provincial Police donated 200 million VND and 2 tons of rice to the Hua Phan Provincial Police.
