On October 20th, the Son La Provincial Committee for the Advancement of Women held a meeting with key female leaders to commemorate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2024) and Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20).

Attending the meeting were: Ms. Tong Thi Phong, former member of the Politburo and former Standing Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and organizations; and 71 key female leaders at the provincial and district levels.

Over the years, Party committees, governments at all levels, and departments and agencies have implemented gender equality work effectively and efficiently according to their management functions and assigned tasks. With numerous initiatives and successful models implemented, women have demonstrated their roles and capabilities in their work, contributing to the overall development of the locality. Particularly noteworthy is the contribution of key female leaders to the successful implementation of the province's socio-economic development goals, promoting the strong development of the women's movement, affirming the position of women in the family and in society; ensuring gender equality in all areas of social life; and improving the education, awareness, material and spiritual lives of women...
Sharing in the joy at the meeting, Comrade Tong Thi Phong respectfully thanked the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee for their attention to female cadres. She expressed her hope that in the future, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee will continue to pay attention to and create favorable conditions to help female cadres successfully fulfill their assigned tasks.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh praised and acknowledged the achievements of female officials in the province in general and key female officials in particular over the past period. He emphasized that the provincial leadership will always accompany and support women in all activities and movements to promote the comprehensive development of women. He also expressed his hope that in the future, female officials will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and creativity, working together in the construction and development of the province. He encouraged them to share experiences and initiatives in their work, overcome challenges together, and affirm the indispensable position and role of women in modern society.
