To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the District Party Committee (September 29, 1964 - September 29, 2024) and the 60th anniversary of the founding of Bac Yen District (October 20, 1964 - October 20, 2024), Bac Yen District has intensified widespread propaganda about the 60-year journey of the district's construction and development; Party committees and authorities from the district to the grassroots level have implemented 40 projects and tasks to celebrate the event.

In particular, from October 14-19, the Culture, Sports and Tourism Week was held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the District Party Committee and the 60th anniversary of the founding of Bac Yen District (1964-2024), with outstanding activities including: Announcing the certification of the "Hang Chu Wine" trademark; inaugurating model roads; cultural exchange between the Muong ethnic group's club in Bac Yen and cultural clubs inside and outside the province; exhibition and display of fine art and photography works about Bac Yen district; men's leather volleyball tournament, women's soft volleyball tournament of Bac Yen district; cultural camp competition; culinary excellence competition; beauty contest showcasing ethnic costumes; Mong ethnic embroidery competition...

The 60th anniversary celebration of the founding of the District Party Committee and the 60th anniversary of the founding of Bac Yen District (1964 - 2024) was held solemnly, leaving a positive impression and fond feelings among cadres, Party members, the people, and tourists.

Leaders of Bac Yen district presented certificates of commendation to collectives and individuals.

On this occasion, the Bac Yen District Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to 15 collectives and 28 individuals; the Bac Yen District People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 19 collectives and 40 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement commemorating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the District Party Committee and the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Bac Yen District.

Immediately following the ceremony was a spectacular art program, themed "A Love Song on the Mountain," consisting of three parts: 60 Years of Construction and Development; The Colors of Bac Yen; and Bac Yen - Shining Brightly and Rising Up. The program was a love song rich in national cultural identity, praising the Party, the beloved President Ho Chi Minh, the renewal of Son La and the renewal of Bac Yen; a land and people that are friendly, hospitable, integrated, and developing.

The art program concluded with a highlight being the solidarity circle dance and bamboo pole dance, with over 400 performers, artisans, and officials and people from various ethnic groups in Bac Yen district participating.

Also on this occasion, Bac Yen district inaugurated the Bac Yen District Trade Fair 2024, with more than 80 booths from businesses, cooperatives, and individual traders from within and outside the district, contributing to promoting and expanding the market for the district's agricultural products. The fair will take place from October 25th to November 3rd at the Bac Yen District Stadium.
