Implementing the “3-stick”, officers and soldiers of Muong Leo Station are regularly present in the villages, meeting and conducting propaganda, helping the people. The act of “sticking to the people, sticking to the area, sticking to the policy” has helped the soldiers understand the living situation, thereby providing appropriate support solutions.

Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Giap, Political Commissar of Muong Leo Border Post, shared: Being close to the people, we truly understand their thoughts and aspirations. This is also a way to help us build trust with the people at the border. This year, the unit has stepped up propaganda work among the people with 23 sessions, with over 1,250 participants; coordinated with the villages to organize many patrols to strictly control the trails across the border; and stepped up the work of preventing and combating illegal entry and exit.

The unit also regularly develops plans, organizes and deploys forces to grasp the local situation, firmly protect national sovereignty, territory and border security; closely coordinates with local Party committees, authorities and functional forces stationed in the area to propagate and mobilize people to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and local conventions and village regulations.

Since the beginning of the year, the unit has sent 150 officers and soldiers with 20 working days to help people prevent, combat, and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, forest fires, epidemics, search and rescue; propagate and mobilize and provide material support to 3 households and 14 people who have returned to their hometowns to feel secure in their work and production.

Implementing the "4 together" well, the officers and soldiers of Muong Leo Border Guard Station are not afraid of difficulties, living and working with the people right in the village, working together on the fields, helping people in each crop season, and at the same time conversing in the ethnic language, contributing to building trust and closeness. The unit has coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to participate in building and consolidating the grassroots political system, developing the socio-economy in the border area. Assigning 13 party members to participate in the activities of 13 border villages; assigning 20 officers to help 50 policy households develop the economy; opening 1 literacy class for 28 students in Sam Quang village.

Through the implementation of the “Skilled Mass Mobilization” model, the unit has advised the local Party Committee and government to admit 2 Party members who are religious practitioners in Huoi Luong village. From the movement “All people participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation”, the unit maintains 8 self-management groups, with 385 families registered to participate in self-management of border lines and national border markers.

Mr. Thao A Denh, Party Cell Secretary and Head of Huoi Phuc Village, shared: The officers and soldiers of the border guard station are always ready to help the people in the village whenever needed. We also regularly coordinate with the army to participate in patrolling and protecting the border. Thanks to that, the political security situation in the area is always stable, and the lives of the villagers have gradually improved.

Along with the task of protecting the border, Muong Leo Border Guard Station also supports economic development for the people. Officers and soldiers in the unit have actively guided people in farming and livestock raising techniques, creating conditions for households to develop sustainable livelihoods. Thanks to that, people have gradually changed their production mindset, reduced dependence on forests, and stabilized their lives.

The unit has maintained the implementation of the program "Helping children go to school and adopted children of Border Guard Station" and the project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school". During the year, it has connected with sponsors to build a kindergarten worth 300 million VND; organized the planting of over 1,200 trees; invested over 800 million VND to implement models, programs, plans and projects to help people.

"The station is home, the border is homeland", officers and soldiers of Muong Leo Border Post have contributed to maintaining the area, implementing well the mass movement to participate in self-management of border lines and landmarks, maintaining security and order in villages and hamlets in the border area. At the same time, building increasingly strong solidarity with the Party Committee, government and people in the area; building and consolidating the grassroots political system, developing the economy, culture and society in the border area increasingly stronger.
