With the motto "3 close ties, 4 together," the officers and soldiers of the Muong Leo Border Guard Station, Sop Cop district, have become a solid support for the people in maintaining security, developing the economy, and building a new life, creating a deep bond with the local people.
Implementing the "three-pronged approach," officers and soldiers of the Muong Leo Border Guard Post regularly visit villages, meeting with and providing assistance to the local people. This approach of "staying close to the people, staying close to the area, and staying close to the policies" has helped the soldiers understand the living conditions of the people, thereby enabling them to provide appropriate support solutions.
Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Giap, Political Officer of the Muong Leo Border Guard Station, shared: "By being close to the local people, we truly understand their thoughts and aspirations. This is also how we build trust with the people in the border area. This year, the unit has intensified propaganda work among the people with 23 sessions, with over 1,250 participants; coordinated with villages to organize many patrols to strictly control border crossings; and strengthened efforts to prevent and combat illegal immigration."
