YEM WATERFALL - A PICTURESQUE LANDSCAPE IN THE HEART OF MOC CHAU PLATEAU
Dai Yem Waterfall is located in Vat village, Muong Sang commune, Moc Chau district, Son La province. Besides the name Dai Yem, the waterfall is also known as Nang Waterfall or Ban Vat Waterfall. This waterfall is situated on the Vat stream, which originates from two streams, Bo Co Lam and Bo Ta Chau, at the beginning of Ban Vat village. The stream meanders for 5 km before merging with Bo Sap stream and the surrounding limestone mountains, then cascading down to form this majestic waterfall.
With a height of approximately 100m and divided into two branches, the upper waterfall, spanning about 4000m2 with 9 tiers symbolizing 9 levels of love, and the lower waterfall, slightly smaller at about 300m2 with 3 clusters of tiers, flow continuously day and night, creating a picturesque scene with a soft, flowing ribbon encircling the giant mountain. It evokes a romantic, impressive, and incredibly majestic feeling.
Amidst the vast mountain landscape, the waterfall appears in a pristine white cascade, like a long, beautiful silk ribbon, captivating the hearts of visitors. Here, you can immerse yourself in unspoiled nature and experience a sense of peace rarely found in the hustle and bustle of the city.
The Dai Yem Waterfall is currently preserved and managed by the Dai Yem Waterfall Tourist Area. Visitors can not only admire the stunning natural scenery but also participate in many other attractive recreational activities. In particular, the Moc Chau Love Glass Bridge, considered the first 5D glass bridge in Vietnam, is a popular spot for young people to visit and take photos amidst its poetic and dreamy scenery.
