Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet was born on July 9, 1977; he joined the Communist Party of Vietnam on May 19, 2007. He has advanced political theory qualifications and a Master's degree in Commerce and Business Administration.
This morning, November 5th, the Son La Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Secretariat's decision on personnel matters.
At the conference, a representative from the Central Organizing Committee announced the Secretariat's decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Chairman of the Economic Committee of the 15th National Assembly, to the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, and to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Presenting the decision and congratulating Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet on assuming his new position, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department Phan Thang An expressed his confidence that, in his new role, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet will continue to inherit the traditions of the Provincial Party Committee, the achievements and experiences of his predecessors, and with his capabilities, intellect, and firm political acumen, he will successfully fulfill the assigned tasks; unite with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and all the military and people in the province to strive to excellently implement the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress of Son La, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and doing a good job in preparing for the Party Congresses at all levels leading to the 14th National Party Congress.

In his acceptance speech, the new Deputy Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Dinh Viet, expressed his gratitude for the attention and trust of the Party and State leaders, the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and the people of Son La province. He pledged to make every effort, dedicate his abilities and passion, quickly grasp the province's realities, stay close to the grassroots, and inherit and promote the positive values that previous generations have diligently cultivated, especially in Party building and the socio-economic development of Son La province.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Son La presented the decisions of the Party Central Committee to Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai, and Colonel Chu Van Thanh.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet previously held the following positions: Deputy Director of the Economic Department, Deputy Director in charge of the Economic Department, National Assembly Office; Director of the Economic Department, National Assembly Office; Member of the National Assembly Secretariat; Party Secretary, Director of the Economic Department, National Assembly Office; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee, Member of the 15th National Assembly.
The conference also announced the Secretariat's decision approving the participation of Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh, Provincial Party Committee member and Head of the Son La Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, in the Standing Committee of the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; and the decisions appointing Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai, Chief Justice of the Son La Provincial People's Court, and Colonel Chu Van Thanh, Commander of the Son La Provincial Military Command, to the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
