On November 6th, at the Son La Provincial Police Department, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to announce the Minister of Public Security's decision on personnel matters.

At the ceremony, acting on behalf of the Minister of Public Security, the head of the Personnel Department announced the decision of the Minister of Public Security to transfer Colonel Dang Trong Cuong, Director of Ninh Binh Provincial Police, to take up the position of Director of Son La Provincial Police.

The Department of Personnel and Organization also announced the decision of the Minister of Public Security regarding the transfer and appointment of Major General Nguyen Ngoc Van, Director of the Son La Provincial Police, to take up the position of Commander of the Mobile Police Command from November 6th.

Also at the announcement ceremony, the leaders of the Son La Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department announced the decision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to appoint Colonel Dang Trong Cuong, Director of the Provincial Police, as a member of the Provincial Police Party Committee, a member of the Provincial Police Party Standing Committee, and as Secretary of the Provincial Police Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quoc Hung congratulated Major General Nguyen Ngoc Van and Colonel Dang Trong Cuong on being entrusted with new responsibilities by the Ministry of Public Security leadership.

The Deputy Minister of Public Security acknowledged the achievements of Major General Van and Colonel Cuong over the past period, which have made a positive contribution to the results of ensuring political security and social order and safety in the localities.

Colonel Dang Trong Cuong (born in 1976, from Vo Tranh commune, Ha Hoa district, Phu Tho province). He holds a PhD in Criminology and Criminal Investigation Law; and a Senior Political Theory certificate. Prior to being appointed Director of the Son La Provincial Police, he served as Director of the Ninh Binh Provincial Police.
