(vov.vn) - To build brands and trademarks for local agricultural products, Son La province has implemented many solutions to promote the application of science and technology, brand management, trade promotion and product advertising, bringing Son La agricultural products further and affirming their position in domestic and international markets.
Accordingly, the Department of Science and Technology of Son La province has implemented 36 tasks to build and develop trademarks for key products bearing the province's geographical names. Currently, the province has 29 products granted protection certificates. Notable products include: Son La coffee, Moc Chau Shan Tuyet tea, Yen Chau round mangoes, Ta Xua tea from Bac Yen, Son La honey, Thuan Chau taro... and 23 agricultural products protected under certification marks. Among these, Moc Chau Shan Tuyet tea and Yen Chau round mangoes have been protected in the Thai and European markets.

The implementation and development of agricultural product branding has been effective, with many agricultural products gradually establishing their value in the market and becoming known to consumers both domestically and internationally after receiving certification marks. After receiving certification marks, selling prices are more stable, planting areas are expanded, and products are favored by many consumers; thus, quality is affirmed in the market.
