On the morning of November 8th, the Provincial People's Committee organized a ceremony to commemorate the Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on November 9th; to summarize and award prizes for the online competition "Understanding the Law on Access to Information"; and to commend the implementation of the Prime Minister's Project 1739. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Dang Ngoc Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Council for Coordination of Law Dissemination and Education; representatives from the Ministry of Justice; members of the Provincial Council for Coordination of Law Dissemination and Education; leaders of provincial departments and agencies; and the People's Committees of districts and cities.
Speaking at the commemoration ceremony, Comrade Dang Ngoc Hau emphasized: The Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has truly become an important political and legal event of the country; the results of implementing Law Day and the work of disseminating and educating about the law in general have made important contributions to honoring the Constitution and laws, educating awareness of the supremacy of law; ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of the State, businesses, and people. He requested that all levels and sectors continue to effectively carry out the work of building and perfecting the system of legal documents; fully and promptly concretize the Party's guidelines and legal regulations, in accordance with the actual situation of the locality; improve the effectiveness of organizing the implementation of laws, promoting the proactive, positive role, self-awareness, and exemplary responsibility of cadres, Party members, civil servants, and public employees in studying, researching, and understanding the law; Strengthening legal support services in line with administrative and judicial reforms aims to help citizens and businesses protect their legitimate rights and interests.
In response to Vietnam Law Day, the Provincial People's Committee also organized an online competition "Understanding the Law on Access to Information". The competition took place from October 22nd to November 1st, 2024, in the form of an online multiple-choice test on the Son La Provincial Electronic Information Portal; the Provincial Legal Education and Dissemination Website; and the Department of Justice's Electronic Information Portal. As a result, more than 47,000 people participated. The organizing committee awarded 24 team prizes, including 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 4 third prizes, and 16 consolation prizes; and 28 individual prizes, including 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 4 third prizes, and 20 consolation prizes.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 5 individuals for their achievements in implementing the Project "Improving the effectiveness of legal dissemination and education associated with mobilizing the people to comply with the law at the grassroots level by the People's Police force in the period 2021-2027".
