(vov.gov.vn) - Xoe, a folk art form of the Thai people in Vietnam, has been inscribed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on the list of representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. To ensure the continued preservation and promotion of the value of Thai Xoe dance in social life, various levels of government, sectors, and localities in the Northwest region have been actively implementing many practical activities. Recently, in Son La province, for the first time, Thai Xoe dance was included in a competition within the provincial school system. This was the "Understanding Thai Xoe Dance" competition organized as part of the extracurricular program "Returning to the Land of Heritage" at Chu Van An Primary, Secondary, and High School, affiliated with Northwest University in Son La City, Son La province.
