(sonla.gov.vn) As part of the activities of the first Son La Coffee Festival in 2023, on the afternoon of October 20th at the Ho Chi Minh Fish Pond stage, Northwest Square, Son La city, the Son La Coffee Association held the Opening Ceremony of the Son La Coffee Gala. Attending the ceremony were representatives from provincial departments and agencies; businesses and cooperatives specializing in coffee production and processing in the area; and a large number of tourists from inside and outside the province who came to participate and experience the event.

Opening Ceremony of the Son La Coffee Gala
The Son La Coffee Gala is an open event, a gathering place for coffee producers and consumers to interact and exchange ideas. It's a place where everyone can freely showcase their brewing and decorating skills, enjoy the experience, learn about, and explore the mysteries of a cup of coffee. Businesses can easily connect with customers, offering diverse coffee experiences and a modern lifestyle for consumers, elevating the value of Son La coffee. The Gala includes activities such as: a beautiful coffee table decoration contest; a coffee cup decoration contest; hands-on coffee brewing experiences using traditional tools; coffee grounds painting; and a book exhibition themed "Son La Shines Towards the Future".

At the Son La Coffee Gala, locals and tourists will have the opportunity to experience brewing coffee using traditional methods. Representatives from participating businesses will demonstrate and guide attendees on proper coffee brewing techniques. The brewed coffee will then be presented and offered to guests for tasting.

Through the Son La Coffee Gala, attendees gain a better understanding of different types of coffee and brewing methods; participants are encouraged to brew coffee in their own unique and creative ways, driven by their love for coffee. Simultaneously, the event celebrates the art of coffee brewing and promotes the use of Son La coffee products; it creates opportunities for local coffee producers to learn about the market and promote their products. In doing so, it promotes the image of Son La to tourists, providing a better understanding of the local culture and lifestyle.

The Son La Coffee Gala will be held on 3 day (from October 20-22, 2023). The Gala's competition will start on the morning of 21/10. At 20pm on 22/10, the Closing Ceremony and awarding of the competitions will take place.
