A delegation from Luang Prabang and Hua Phan provinces, along with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Luang Prabang, visited and worked in Son La province.

Welcoming and working with the delegation, Son La province was represented by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of several provincial departments and agencies, and Moc Chau district.

In an atmosphere of special solidarity and friendship, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong warmly welcomed the delegation from Luang Prabang and Hua Phan provinces and the Vietnamese Consulate General in Luang Prabang who visited and worked in the province. He also informed them of some outstanding achievements in the economic, social, defense, and security development of the province in the first 10 months of 2024; shared experiences in converting sloping land for fruit tree cultivation; the application of high technology and scientific and technical advancements in crop cultivation and livestock farming; the development of commercial agricultural economy; and the establishment of agricultural cooperatives…

The comrade expressed his hope that in the coming time, Son La province and Luang Prabang and Hua Phan provinces, and the Vietnamese Consulate General in Luang Prabang, will continue to exchange experiences, learn from each other, and strengthen comprehensive cooperation in all fields, contributing to preserving and promoting the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

Comrade Su Can-Bun Nhong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Luang Prabang Provincial Party Committee, delivered a speech at the working session.

During the meeting, leaders of Luang Prabang and Hua Phan provinces, and the Vietnamese Consulate General in Luang Prabang, highly appreciated Son La province's approach to agricultural development, especially in expanding fruit tree cultivation and applying high technology in agricultural production. They also expressed their desire for Son La province to continue exchanging practical experiences in implementing models; supporting and transferring scientific and technological advancements, livestock and plant varieties; and encouraging businesses to invest in factories producing bio-fertilizers, animal feed, and processing agricultural and forestry products in Luang Prabang and Hua Phan provinces.
