This is an activity within the framework of the 2024 Vietnam Regional Specialties Fair, held at the square of Vincom Mega Mall Royal City Commercial Center (72A Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi).

ConsciousSon LaThe event will have 36 booths, with the participation of cooperatives and enterprises operating in the agricultural processing sector of 12 districts and cities. The booths will display, promote and introduce typical agricultural products of the province including: tea, custard apple, citrus fruits, coffee, dried fruits, vermicelli, etc.

Weekagricultural productsandfood safetySon La province in Hanoi in 2024 is organized to concretize the contents according to the Coordination Program No. 12-CTPH/HNDTW-TUSL dated July 1, 2022 between the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Son La Provincial Party Committee, period 2022-2025; Plan No. 02-KH/HNDTW-TUSL, dated June 6, 2024 between the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Son La Provincial Party Committee to implement the contents of the Coordination Program between the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Son La Provincial Party Committee in 2024.
In addition, in order to effectively implement Plan No. 39/KH-UBND dated February 2, 2024 of the People's Committee of Son La province to deploy investment, trade and tourism promotion activities in 2024; Promote, build and develop the brand of safe agricultural products of Son La province. Help consumers access quality fruits and agricultural products, ensure safety, identify the origin of products when using, and create shopping habits for consumers.
The fair also aims to create conditions for businesses and cooperatives to connect and consume safe agricultural products with supermarket systems, trade centers, and domestic and foreign agricultural processing and exporting enterprises.
According to the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Son La province, agricultural products participating in the exhibition and introduction must ensure quality standards of hygiene and food safety (OCOP, VietGAP, GobalGAP certifications...).

This is considered one of the important trade promotion events of Son La, an opportunity for enterprises and cooperatives operating in the field of agricultural production and processing of Son La province to connect with domestic and export markets; seek more partners to cooperate in agricultural product consumption, thereby creating a breakthrough in production organization, improving product quality, building brands, and increasing income for people.
Director of the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Nguyen Anh Duong said that the 2024 Vietnam Regional Specialties Fair is an opportunity for businesses to promote their specialties to consumers, connect, participate in the supply chain, and consume in the capital market. This is also an opportunity for distributors to search for and select sources of goods, an event that consumers respond to and look forward to at the end of the year to visit, shop, and experience the regional culture of Vietnam.
With the efforts of Hanoi city, the coordination of provinces and cities and the response of businesses, the Vietnam regional specialty fair is a festival of specialties from the whole country gathered in the capital, and is also an opportunity to introduce the traditional culture and typical tourism of each region to domestic and international tourists.
Within the framework of the fair, trade connection activities between manufacturing enterprises and major distributors (AEON, Lotte, Central Retail, clean store chains, e-commerce platforms Alibaba, Foodmap...) are also continuously organized.

According to the report, the total output of fruit trees consumed from the beginning of the year up to October 10, 2024 reached 331,928 tons (estimated at 88% of the total output of the year), with an estimated value of VND 5,283,038 million. The value of exported goods in the first 9 months of 2024 is estimated at 137.6 million USD, an increase of 7.65% over the same period last year; the main export products include: coffee, tea, longan, cassava products and agricultural products such as bananas, mangoes, etc.
