Cascara Tea processing line inaugurated.
Attending the opening ceremony of the processing line were Comrade Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee; former provincial leaders from various periods; leaders of provincial departments and agencies; the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam; and the delegation from Hua Phan province (Lao People's Democratic Republic).
Phuc Sinh Son La Joint Stock Company is the first company to process Cascara tea on an industrial scale, supplying both the domestic and export markets. The Cascara tea processing line, built in August 2023, has a capacity of 10 tons of ripe fruit per day, equivalent to 1 ton of finished tea per day. The line includes: a food-grade fruit washing, peeling, and UV-free drying system; a multi-functional cold drying system ensuring cleanliness and preserving flavor and color; and an automatic packaging system.

The leaders pressed the button to inaugurate the Cascara Tea processing line.
The raw material for producing the tea is the husk of ripe coffee beans, grown, cared for, and harvested according to the strictest procedures. These coffee plantations are also part of the Rainforest Alliance (RA) Sustainable Coffee Project, a high-tech coffee growing region in Son La province. The production line simultaneously meets three standards: sustainable raw material sourcing and BRC Food 9 (a standard from the British Association for Food).
