On the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2024), Hai Phong and Son La organized many friendly exchange activities, strengthening the strong affection between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
Hai Phong holds friendly exchange to celebrate Lao National Day
On November 30, the Hai Phong City Union of Friendship Organizations coordinated with the City Youth Union and the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Hai Phong City to organize a friendly exchange meeting on the occasion of Laos National Day between Lao students studying abroad, Vietnamese students, representatives of former volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts in Laos.
The program was attended by representatives of the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hai Phong city, the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee, the Veterans Association of Hai Phong city, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Hai Phong city, departments, branches and 70 people.Laotian students, Vietnam is studying at universities in the city.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Do Van Binh, Chairman of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Hai Phong City sent congratulations to Lao students studying at Universities and Colleges in the city on the occasion of Lao National Day.

According to Mr. Do Van Binh, Hai Phong city has close relations with many localities of Laos, including establishing friendly relations with Vientiane province and Oudomxay province. Currently, there are 235 Lao students studying at universities in the city. He hopes that Lao students will continue to unite, strive to study and practice to improve their knowledge so that when they return, they can contribute to building Laos, preserving and promoting the good friendship that generations of leaders and people of the two countries have worked hard to cultivate.

On November 30, Tay Bac University (Son La) organized a program to celebrate the 49th National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Attending the program were leaders of some provincial departments and branches and Lao students studying at the school.

At the program, delegates and overseas students reviewed the history of the heroic and resilient struggle 49 years ago by the Lao ethnic people, establishing the Lao People's Democratic Republic as well as the close and special relationship between the two peoples and two countries of Vietnam and Laos.
Currently, Tay Bac University has 359 Laotian students studying at the school. The school always creates the best conditions for Laotian students to study with peace of mind, constantly strive to practice and accumulate knowledge to become excellent citizens, high-quality human resources of Laos. The school also regularly organizes many cultural, sports and cultural exchange activities.

On the same day, Tay Bac University organized a tug-of-war competition to celebrate the 49th anniversary of Lao National Day, with the participation of 9 teams and 90 athletes representing 9 provinces of Laos. The matches were intense and exciting, attracting a large number of students to watch and cheer. As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the teaminternational studentHua Phan province, second prize for the overseas students team of Oudomxay province and third prize for the overseas students team of Luang Namtha province.
