Son La Medical College held a meeting to commemorate the 49th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Attending the meeting were Comrade Trang Thi Xuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of several provincial departments and agencies; the Liaison Committee of Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Military Experts assisting Laos in Son La province and city; and Lao officials, teachers, staff, and students studying at the school.

Delegates and Lao students reviewed the tradition of solidarity, friendship, and special cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, between Son La province and the northern provinces of Laos; and the training of Lao students at Son La Medical College. Lao students studying at the college expressed their joy and emotion at the care and support provided by the school's administration during their studies and training, and pledged to continue studying hard to master their trained profession.

Son La Medical College is currently training 221 Lao students. The college provides dormitory accommodation with full facilities, ensuring the learning and living needs of the Lao students are met. On this occasion, representatives from provincial departments and agencies, the Liaison Committee of Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Military Experts assisting Laos in Son La province and city presented gifts and congratulated the Lao students.
