The former Ambassador shared that he is currently supporting the implementation of work in Vietnam at the Japanese Meteorological Information Company. The company is using radar equipment using information technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to capture information and accurately forecast the weather by the hour in each area within a short distance, helping to make decisions on early evacuation warnings, necessary to protect people's lives and minimize damage from natural disasters. The former Ambassador hopes that Son La province will pay attention to helping the unit to deploy support for Son La province, which is a pilot place to deploy solutions to provide meteorological information in Northern Vietnam, contributing to the province's work of preventing and combating natural disasters in the coming time.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Vice Chairman of the Son La Provincial People's Committee agreed to support the policy of choosing Son La as the place to install radar warning equipment. The province assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to directly advise research units to deploy solutions in the province; assigned the Son La Hydropower Company as the pilot site to deploy monitoring equipment. Assigned the Provincial Hydrometeorological Station to study the location of equipment installation, review and evaluate, monitor the results of equipment operation, in order to minimize damage caused by natural disasters in the province.
