Infrastructure in ethnic minority villages in Thuan Chau district (Son La province) faces specific challenges.

In addition, support was provided for the provision of equipment to 13 community centers (cultural centers) in 13 villages inhabited by the La Ha ethnic minority. Nutritional support, examinations, and nutritional counseling were provided to 13 pregnant La Ha ethnic minority mothers; and support was given to one La Ha ethnic minority mother from a poor household to give birth in accordance with population policies. Communication activities were organized, such as: holding competitions on understanding laws regarding marriage and family, child marriage, and consanguineous marriage at 12 secondary schools in the area.Thuan Chau districtThe district organized 9 training conferences on skills and knowledge dissemination of laws on marriage and family, child marriage and consanguineous marriage for 521 delegates including branch secretaries, deputy branch secretaries, village heads, deputy village heads, heads of departments, organizations and associations in the villages and the people; and provided counseling, intervention and integration of laws on child marriage and consanguineous marriage in 18 communes in the district.
