On December 10th, Thuan Chau district held a conference to disseminate and implement Resolution No. 1280/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated November 14, 2024, of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the rearrangement of district and commune-level administrative units in Son La province for the period 2023-2025.
In accordance with the Resolution on the reorganization of commune-level administrative units in Thuan Chau district, a portion of the natural area and population of Chieng Ly commune and a portion of the natural area and population of Phong Lang commune were adjusted and merged into Thuan Chau town; Phong Ly commune was established by merging a portion of the natural area and population of Chieng Bom commune, the entire natural area and population of Chieng Ly commune, and the entire natural area and population of Phong Lang commune after the adjustment. After the reorganization, Thuan Chau district has 28 commune-level administrative units, including 27 communes and 1 town.
To ensure timely and effective implementation of tasks, Thuan Chau district has identified key areas to focus on: strengthening information and communication efforts to ensure that all segments of the population understand and agree with the Resolution; reorganizing the administrative apparatus, cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers; resolving issues related to surplus personnel and policies; reorganizing the organization and operation of villages, hamlets, and sub-districts; arranging and handling public offices and assets after the reorganization of commune-level administrative units; implementing specific policies and regulations for commune-level administrative units formed after reorganization; allocating the number of cadastral officers, civil servants, and non-specialized personnel at the commune level; creating new, revising, and updating administrative boundary records and maps at all levels; and organizing the revision of land cadastral records...
