VOV.VN - Borderland lessons, the "Children Learn to Be Border Guard Soldiers" program, and many meaningful experiential activities were organized by border guard posts under the Son La Provincial Border Guard Command and other agencies and units to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day.
On December 19th, at border marker 255 under the management of the Long Sap International Border Gate Border Guard Station, units including the Youth Union of the Long Sap International Border Gate Border Guard Station and the Provincial Youth Unions of Son La, Lam Dong, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces organized a "Borderland Lesson" to introduce nearly 320 teachers and students of Long Sap Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School in Moc Chau district, Son La province, as well as Youth Union members, to the border line, border markers, and national border sovereignty.

"Borderland Lessons" have propagated, disseminated, and educated on border laws, raising awareness and a sense of responsibility among border guards, teachers, students, and youth union members regarding the cause of building, managing, and protecting national border sovereignty, thereby fostering love for the homeland, national pride, and self-respect.

The students visited and had an experiential learning experience at Chieng Tuong Border Guard Station.
As part of the program, participating units donated 250 warm jackets to students of Long Sap Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School, worth nearly 30 million VND. This is a practical and meaningful gift, helping the children stay warmer during the cold winter in the Northwest region.

On the same day, the Chieng Tuong and Chieng Son Border Guard Posts also organized activities such as "Children learning to be Border Guards" and visited and experienced activities at the unit, disseminating information about the 80-year tradition of the Vietnam People's Army and the unit's traditions to more than 400 preschool students from schools in their jurisdiction.
