Promoting the strengths of Son La province with its role and position as the economic center of the Northwest sub-region. Starting from December 21, Son La organized a fair to promote product consumption and promote tourism, culture of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas in Phu Yen district. The fair attracted 27 communes and towns in the area and 5 enterprises and cooperatives to participate, with over 40 booths displaying and introducing typical agricultural products and OCOP products in the locality.

This year's fair is held in Muong Tac field, combining the arrangement of going through the agricultural road with thousands of colorful pinwheels, the booths are designed and decorated elaborately, showing the ingenuity, meticulousness, imbued with the cultural identity and cuisine of ethnic groups. The fair is an opportunity for businesses, cooperatives and farmers in and outside the district to exchange and promote OCOP products, agriculture, agricultural products, regional and regional specialties to consumers.

In the cultural space, many traditional activities of ethnic groups were vividly recreated, such as the art of beeswax painting on fabric of the Dao Tien ethnic group, the traditional weaving of the Thai ethnic group, and the wine making with yeast leaves of the Mong ethnic group. The fair also featured many activities and games for locals and visitors to experience, such as making “it uoi” cakes of the Thai ethnic group, the bell dance of the Dao Tien ethnic group, the gong-knocking of the Muong ethnic group, and the bamboo-jumping of the Thai ethnic group. Folk games included: Rice cake pounding competition, catching loach in a jar, fetching water to the village, and dragon egg incubation.

In addition, in order to diversify products and enhance the effectiveness of promoting destination tourism, Phu Yen district cooperates with event units to organize performances and experiences of flying with hot air balloons.
