(vtv.vn) - Son La province always prioritizes the development of tourism and agriculture in conjunction with the National Target Program for building new rural areas.

The development of tourism and agriculture is identified as a driving force for building sustainable new rural areas. This includes promoting and publicizing tourism resources, potential, advantages, tourism products, ethnic cultural identity, and local specialties.
Leveraging Son La province's strengths as the economic center of the Northwest sub-region, a fair promoting the consumption of products and the tourism and culture of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas was held in Phu Yen district starting on December 21st. The fair attracted participation from 27 communes and towns in the area, along with 5 businesses and cooperatives, showcasing over 40 booths displaying and introducing characteristic agricultural products and OCOP (One Commune One Product) products from the locality.
The cultural space was organized in the Muong Tac field.
The fair, with its vibrant recreation of cultural spaces showcasing the unique cultural identities of ethnic minority groups, attracted a large number of locals and tourists to visit and experience. This year's fair was held in the Muong Tac rice fields, featuring a pathway lined with thousands of brightly colored windmills, and elaborately designed and decorated stalls that reflected the skillful craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail, showcasing the rich cultural and culinary traditions of the ethnic groups. The fair provided an opportunity for businesses, cooperatives, and farmers from within and outside the district to network and promote their OCOP products, agricultural products, and regional specialties to consumers.

In addition, to diversify products and enhance the effectiveness of tourism promotion, Phu Yen district, in coordination with event organizers, is holding hot air balloon demonstrations and experiences.
