This morning, December 26th, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Rural Electrification, chaired a meeting to summarize the achievements of 2024 and implement tasks for 2025. The conference was held online, connecting to 12 districts and cities.
In 2024, the Steering Committeerural electrification in the provinceThe province of Son La promptly issued documents to implement the rural electrification plan, assigning the People's Committees of the districts to advise on integrating programs, projects, and investment capital sources to provide electricity to households, especially integrating national target program funds to achieve the rural electrification goal. In 2024, the entire province provided electricity to 10,775 households, including: new investment and development of new meters for 6,603 households, and upgrading safe electricity for 4,172 households. The percentage of households using electricity for daily life reached over 99.5%, of which: The percentage of households using safe electricity for daily life reached 96.9%. The total capital invested was over 190 billion VND. Of which: the sub-project for rural electrification from the national grid in Son La province was over 79 billion VND; projects where the districts were the main investors were over 105 billion VND; The electricity sector is investing 6.5 billion VND in developing new electricity meters.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong requested that members of the steering committee and the districts and cities focus on integrating capital sources to implement the program for investing in safe electricity supply for households; closely coordinate in land clearance work, mobilize contributions from the people; accelerate the implementation of the Rural Electrification Program in 2025, focusing on new investment for 5,658 households and upgrading safe electricity for 4,697 households. The goal is to achieve a rate of 99.5% of households having access to electricity for daily life, including: a rate of over 99% of households having access to safe electricity for daily life; and to invest in electricity supply for 10,355 households, striving to ensure the targets set by the Provincial Party Congress are met.
