Son La province has the largest area of ​​Arabica coffee cultivation in the country, with over 20,000 hectares, of which more than 18,000 hectares have been granted sustainable and equivalent certifications. Several concentrated, specialized production areas have been established, following a production, processing, and consumption chain based on the application of science and technology, gradually meeting the needs of production, consumption, and export. Son La coffee products have been exported to 20 countries in the EU, North America, the Middle East, and ASEAN countries at stable prices; contributing to increasing the income of coffee growers, creating more jobs, and contributing to restructuring production towards increasing the value of coffee in Son La, which is highly appreciated by domestic and international consumers.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, along with National Assembly delegates from Son La province, visited Son La coffee products.

Recently, from October 20th to 23rd, Son La province solemnly organized the first Son La Coffee Festival in 2023 with many meaningful activities. The province was honored to welcome Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue - Member of the Political Bureau, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, along with other members of the Central Committee of the Party, leaders of Central Committees, Ministries and branches, who attended to provide guidance, encouragement and highly appreciated the activities of the Festival.

Following the success of the first Son La Coffee Festival in 2023, the leaders, officials, and people of the province, wishing to spread the flavor of Son La Arabica coffee far and wide, registered and received approval from the National Assembly Office to serve and showcase Son La Arabica coffee products at the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

The province has prepared typical, high-quality coffee products with attractive packaging to serve and introduce. At the same time, representatives from coffee production and processing businesses and cooperatives in Son La province have been selected to participate, including: Ara-Tay Coffee Cooperative, Minh Tien Coffee Group Joint Stock Company, and Son La Coffee Company Limited.

This is an opportunity to introduce and bring the flavor of Son La Arabica coffee to Party and State leaders, delegates, and guests of the National Assembly to enjoy, evaluate, and share experiences in the production, processing, and consumption of Son La coffee. It contributes to enhancing the value and affirming the position of Son La coffee, opening up new opportunities for Son La coffee to develop and reach markets domestically, regionally, and globally.
