On November 3, 2023, the Agricultural Technical Center of Moc Chau district, Son La province, coordinated with the Long Sap Border Guard Station to organize the handover of breeding goats to households in Sop Bau district, Hua Phan province, Lao People's Democratic Republic.
In order to strengthen friendship and create economic development connections between Moc Chau district, Son La province and Sop Bau district, Hua Phan province, Lao People's Democratic Republic. Moc Chau district has built a goat farming model for farmers in Sop Bau district.
Moc Chau district has given 26 goats and nearly 500 kg of mixed feed for goats with a total value of 150 million VND to 8 households participating in the model in 2 villages Na Kham Hang and Pon Sai, Sop Bau district. The breeding goats were carefully selected by the supplier and fully vaccinated before being handed over. For the model to be highly effective, Moc Chau district also sent staff to train and guide the households participating in the model on techniques of raising, caring for, and preventing diseases on goats. Before that, Moc Chau district's Agricultural Technical Center coordinated with Long Sap Border Guard Station to visit each household to survey and ensure that the families had the conditions to care for the goats to develop.
The model is not only to help households in Sop Bau district, Laos have conditions to develop their family economy and stabilize their lives. This is also a practical work to implement the Minutes of Agreement between Sop Bau district, Hua Phan province, Lao PDR and Moc Chau district, Van Ho district, Son La province, Socialist Republic of Vietnam signed on March 5, 2021. Thereby contributing to strengthening the solidarity and friendship between the two districts of Moc Chau - Sop Bau, Son La - Hua Phan and between the two countries of Vietnam - Laos "forever green - forever sustainable"./.
