VOV.VN - Organized for the first time, the Festival of Ancient Stone Land in Hang Chu commune, Bac Yen district (Son La province) attracted a large number of tourists and locals to participate and experience, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere to welcome the new year.
Hang Chu is a highland commune in Bac Yen district, Son La province, primarily inhabited by the Mong ethnic group. It is home to ancient rock formations steeped in spiritual traditions, preserved by the local people for generations.

The Hang Chu Ancient Stone Festival was held for the first time.
Through the songs, melodies, and traditional flute dances performed by local male and female actors and artisans, the cultural performances at the opening ceremony on the evening of January 3rd introduced to the general public and tourists the unique culture of the Mong ethnic people in the ancient rocky area of Hang Chu.

A large number of local people and tourists attended the opening ceremony.
Taking place until January 5th, the festival will feature a variety of activities, primarily focusing on the reconstruction, reenactment, and performance of ancient rituals of the Mong ethnic group, such as: the Tua Senh Stone Pillar worship ceremony, crafting of the khene (a type of bamboo flute), knife forging, rượu (rice wine) brewing, folk singing, etc. Through these activities, the festival aims to promote the image of the friendly and hospitable people and land of Hang Chu, along with unique and distinctive tourism products that reflect the rich cultural identity of the ethnic group.

The people were excited to attend the festival.
Mr. Ho A Dua, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hang Chu commune and Head of the Organizing Committee, said: "The festival is held right during the traditional Tet holiday of the Mong ethnic group, so the people are even more excited and eager to participate and experience the activities within the framework of the festival."

Unique local agricultural products are on display at the stalls.
"Through this festival, the commune hopes to restore the cultural identity of the Mong ethnic group, such as the Mong flute, Mong dance, the traditional flute playing, and the Mong knife forging... Secondly, we hope that through this festival, friends and tourists from near and far will learn more about Hang Chu Cave, and will promote and introduce Hang Chu Cave so that it becomes more widely known," said Mr. Ho A Dua.
