Hundreds of kilometers of electric lighting lines for alleys and hamlets, built by the government and the people, have lit up the villages, beautifying Moc Chau plateau - a national tourist area, a world-leading regional natural destination, and on the threshold of becoming a town in the highlands of Son La, Northwest.
The sparkling lights on the concrete roads stretching from the commune center to each village, alley, and hamlet have decorated the new day picture of the border commune of Chieng Son, Moc Chau district, Son La. This is a long-standing wish of the people in the border area.
Mr. Giang A Pao, a resident of Pha Luong village, Chieng Son commune, shared: "My family runs a grocery store. Before, I used to only sell during the day. But since the electricity has been installed, business has become more convenient. People go shopping more in the evening. To serve the shopping needs of the villagers, my family opens the store until 8-9 pm."

The roads were lit thanks to the joint efforts of the people in the border villages and the support of the State, businesses, units, and benefactors. The Party Committee and the authorities of the commune and village held meetings with the people, propagandized, mobilized, and received high support from the people, from contributing money to buy materials, to supporting the days of transportation and erecting electric poles... extending more than 44 km of lighting in Chieng Son commune.
Mr. Song A Chinh, Party cell secretary and head of Suoi Thin village, shared: "In the past time, the people of Suoi Thin village, together with the contributions of volunteer units, have joined hands to build 1.7 km of lighting lines, helping people travel more conveniently at night and maintain security and order in the border area."

With the motto of people investing in initial construction, annual maintenance, repair and operation of the project; the state supports monthly electricity payment for the system using national grid electricity and supports initial investment in construction with the system using solar power... the policy of investing in the lighting system for alleys and roads in Moc Chau district has received high consensus from the people.
"With the policy of focusing on rural areas, since 2022, the Standing Committee of Moc Chau District Party Committee has issued a separate conclusion on supporting rural lighting. This is a policy that is highly supported by the people. The lighting system in the area has contributed to changing the face of rural areas in Moc Chau district, while also contributing to ensuring security and order in the district." - Mr. Le Trong Binh, Chairman of Moc Chau District People's Committee, Son La informed.

This is also a testament to the efforts of the Party Committee, government and ethnic people of Moc Chau in the journey of building a new countryside, a new look, especially before becoming a town according to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee in early February this year./.
