During the program, the units distributed 160 gift packages and 160 portions of pork to disadvantaged families and policy beneficiary families in Chieng Khuong and Muong Sai communes; 30 gift packages to policy beneficiary families and meritorious individuals; 9 gift packages to individuals actively involved in self-management of border markers; 10 gift packages to influential individuals; 81 scholarships and gifts for students; 10 gift packages for disadvantaged families in Dan village, Muong Et district, Lao People's Democratic Republic; and presented national flags and portraits of President Ho Chi Minh to 21 villages in Chieng Khuong commune. Simultaneously, they organized "zero-cost" stalls offering essential goods to nearly 500 disadvantaged families and policy beneficiary individuals in the border communes of Song Ma district; and provided free consultations, specialist eye examinations, and medication. The total value of the program is over 1.1 billion VND. In addition, the program also organizes activities such as rice cake wrapping competitions, sticky rice cake pounding competitions, throwing the ball, stick pushing, tug-of-war, etc., creating a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere among the people of various ethnic groups.
The "Spring Border Guard Program: Warming the Hearts of the People" in 2025 consists of practical activities to care for policy beneficiary families and disadvantaged households in border areas, helping people celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year more warmly and fully, and strengthening the spirit of national unity in border regions.
