Meeting to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 85th anniversary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee's traditional day

At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the 95-year process of building and developing the Communist Party of Vietnam; respectfully remembered and expressed their infinite gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader of the Party and the nation. At the same time, they expressed their deep gratitude to the veteran revolutionaries, pre-insurrection cadres, loyal communist soldiers, heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, families with meritorious services to the revolution and generations of cadres, party members and people of all ethnic groups in the province who have contributed their efforts, intelligence and blood to build the provincial Party Committee to constantly grow in all aspects, contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

The history of the formation and development of the Son La Provincial Party Committee is closely linked to the development and growth of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The Provincial Party Committee has inherited the experiences and achievements, promoted the spirit of solidarity, creativity, flexibility, mobilized the combined strength of the entire political system to mobilize people to successfully implement the set goals and tasks, comprehensively in all fields.

In 2024, the socio-economic situation in the province continues to grow positively, with all basic targets reaching and exceeding the set plan. The total product in the area reaches over 36,274 billion VND, the economic structure shifts in a positive direction, in line with the development goals of the province. Budget revenue in the area reaches over 4,100 billion VND. The whole province has 188 OCOP products; 7 high-tech agricultural zones; maintaining and developing 308 safe agricultural and aquatic food supply chains.

Trade and service activities were maintained and developed; total retail sales of goods reached 35,800 billion VND; value of exported goods reached 198 million USD. Tourism activities had many outstanding highlights, revenue reached 4,900 billion VND. Moc Chau National Tourist Area was honored for the third consecutive year as the leading regional natural destination in Asia.

Political security, social order and safety are stable, border security and sovereignty are maintained. Party building and consolidation of the political system are enhanced; cooperative relations with international organizations and foreign embassies are maintained and developed, especially the friendly cooperative relations with the provinces of Lao PDR are strengthened...

At the meeting, representatives of former provincial leaders and the young generation expressed their joy at the achievements of the province in all fields; at the same time, their speeches expressed their absolute trust in the leadership of the Party; believed that with the spirit of solidarity and creativity of the entire Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups, the province will continue to have strong development steps, making Son La a developed province in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province, speaking at the meeting, comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh emphasized: 2025 is a year of special importance, the final year to implement and strive to complete the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, the year to organize Party congresses at all levels, term 2025-2030, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The Provincial Party Secretary has oriented the important tasks that the province will focus on implementing in the coming time. That is, focusing on leading, directing the implementation and striving to complete the goals and targets set by the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025; well performing the preparation and organization of Party Congresses at all levels towards the 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030. Continuing to resolutely and effectively implement the socio-economic development plans for 2025; national target programs; ensuring social security; paying attention to the material and spiritual life of the people; promoting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses according to Directive No. 42/CT-TTg dated November 9, 2024 of the Prime Minister. Focus on implementing and completing the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units for the 2023-2030 period according to Resolution No. 1280/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated November 14, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee; the arrangement and streamlining of the political system's apparatus according to the direction and orientation of the Central Government...

The Provincial Party Secretary believes that the Party Committee, government, army and people of all ethnic groups in Son La province will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, the will of self-reliance and solidarity among ethnic groups, improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and Party members, determined to seize opportunities, overcome difficulties and challenges, build Son La province to develop greenly, quickly and sustainably, join hands with the whole country to strive to successfully implement the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, contributing to the whole country entering a new era, the era of national development.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department launched the third political contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2025.

On this occasion, Son La Provincial Party Committee and the Steering Committee of 35 provinces launched the third Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2025.
