Meeting to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 85th anniversary of the traditional day of the Son La Provincial Party Committee.

Attending the meeting were: Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; veteran revolutionary cadres, pre-revolution cadres, and former provincial leaders from various periods.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the 95-year history of the Communist Party of Vietnam's development; respectfully remembered and expressed boundless gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader of the Party and the nation. They also expressed profound gratitude to veteran revolutionaries, pre-revolution cadres, steadfast communist fighters, heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, families with meritorious contributions to the revolution, and generations of cadres, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups in the province who have contributed their efforts, intellect, and blood to building a continuously strong provincial Party organization, contributing to the successful realization of the goals of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

The history of the formation and development of the Son La Provincial Party Committee is closely linked to the development and growth of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The Provincial Party Committee has inherited the experiences and achievements gained, fostering a spirit of unity, creativity, and flexibility, mobilizing the combined strength of the entire political system to successfully implement the set goals and tasks comprehensively across all fields.

In 2024, the socio-economic situation in the province continued to grow positively, with all basic indicators meeting and exceeding the set plan. The gross provincial product reached over 36,274 billion VND, and the economic structure shifted in a positive direction, consistent with the province's development goals. Budget revenue in the province reached over 4,100 billion VND. The province has 188 OCOP products; 7 high-tech agricultural zones; and maintains and develops 308 safe agricultural and aquatic food supply chains.

Commercial and service activities were maintained and developed; total retail sales of goods reached 35,800 billion VND; the value of goods participating in exports reached 198 million USD. Tourism activities had many outstanding highlights, with revenue reaching 4,900 billion VND. Moc Chau National Tourist Area was honored for the third consecutive year as a leading regional natural destination in Asia.

The political security situation and social order are stable, and border security and sovereignty are firmly maintained. Party building and the consolidation of the political system are strengthened; cooperative relations with international organizations and foreign embassies are maintained and developed, especially strengthening friendly cooperative relations with provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic…

Comrade Hoang Van Chat, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, delivered a speech at the meeting.

At the meeting, representatives of former provincial leaders and the younger generation expressed their joy at the province's achievements in various fields; at the same time, they expressed their absolute confidence in the leadership of the Party; and their belief that with the spirit of unity and creativity of the entire Party committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in the province, it will continue to develop strongly, making Son La a developed province in the Northern Midlands and mountainous region.

Speaking on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Comrade Hoang Quoc Khanh emphasized at the meeting: 2025 is a year of special significance, the final year to implement and strive to complete the goals and tasks set forth in the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, and the year to organize Party congresses at all levels for the term 2025-2030, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The Provincial Party Secretary outlined the important tasks that the province will focus on in the coming period. These include: concentrating on leading and directing the implementation and striving to achieve the goals and targets set forth in the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025; effectively preparing and organizing party congresses at all levels leading up to the 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030; continuing to decisively and effectively implement the socio-economic development plans for 2025; national target programs; ensuring social security; paying attention to the material and spiritual well-being of the people; and accelerating the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses according to Directive No. 42/CT-TTg dated November 9, 2024, of the Prime Minister. Focus on implementing and completing the reorganization of district and commune-level administrative units in the period 2023-2030 according to Resolution No. 1280/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated November 14, 2024, of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly; and the reorganization and streamlining of the political system's organizational structure according to the direction and orientation of the Central Government…

The Provincial Party Secretary expressed confidence that the Party committees, government, military, and people of all ethnic groups in Son La province will continue to uphold revolutionary traditions, self-reliance, self-strength, and the power of ethnic unity, enhance the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and members, resolutely seize opportunities, overcome difficulties and challenges, and build Son La province into a green, rapidly developing, and sustainable province. Together with the whole country, they will strive to successfully implement the resolutions of the Party Congress at all levels, contributing to the nation's entry into a new era, an era of national progress.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department launched the third Political Essay Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation, 2025.

On this occasion, the Son La Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee 35 launched the third Political Commentary Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation, 2025.

The Provincial Youth Union Secretary delivered a speech at the meeting.
