Spring paintings make an impression on the public.

Visiting and wishing the family of painter Lo An Quang, a member of the Fine Arts Association, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, a Happy New Year in the first days of the new year, we shared the joy when his work "Chuyen ban, chuyen muong" won the A prize at the Northwest - Viet Bac Fine Arts Exhibition in 2024.

Artist Lo An Quang confided: Each artist has a different perspective on spring, from which ideas are put into their works of art. But they all have one thing in common: directing their works towards good, fresh and vibrant values. My works on the theme of spring often depict images of villages, portraits, and the labor and production activities of ethnic people... In which, they convey ideas about spring in people's hearts, spring of a prosperous life.

The work “Chuyen ban, chuyen muong”, which he expressed in lacquer, brings a simple spring scene in the space of a village in the Northwest highlands, with the highlight being Thai ethnic women diligently spinning and weaving in the traditional stilt houses.

In music, spring often brings joyful, romantic melodies, full of aspirations for life. Throughout history, Son La music has had many songs about spring that have entered the hearts of many generations of the public, from works that have become legends, such as "Don Xuan", "Xuan Ve Ban Co" by the late musician Cam Bich, "Son La Mua Xuan Lai Ve" by Dang An Nguyen..., to new compositions such as "Son La Ban Tinh Ca Mua Xuan" by author Le Hong Chuong; "Thanh Pho Hoa Ban" by author Bui Khac Bao, "Tinh Xuan Son La" by author Thanh Hieu, "Son La Meo Dat Tinh Yeu" by author Tran Duc Thanh... These are songs filled with the fresh breath of spring of the homeland and country, expressed through vivid, artistic lyrics, which are widely received and loved by the audience.

Musician Tran Van Quang, Head of the Provincial Music Association, shared: The Provincial Music Association has 31 members, and in the past 5 years, has composed more than 100 new musical works, which are songs about Son La. In particular, spring is considered the "composition season" because many songs were born at the time when the earth and sky entered the new year. Many works written on the theme of spring are highly appreciated for their expertise and won high prizes at national and provincial music and art composition competitions. Music not only makes life more beautiful but also contributes to promoting and introducing the image, beauty of the land, culture and people of Son La to friends and tourists.

Other art majors such as poetry, literature, dance, photography, and theater also have hundreds of quality compositions on the theme of spring. In each work, each artist from Son La expresses their emotions, experiences, and feelings before the beauty of their homeland.

Poet Luong My Hanh, Muong La District Literature and Arts Association, confided: In early 2024, I released the poetry collection "About Muong Lum" consisting of 20 poems, which are my thoughts and feelings about the changes in my hometown where I was born and raised, mixed with nostalgia for beautiful childhood memories. Each person's life can welcome many springs, but the most beautiful spring is the spring in the soul. When there is faith and love, it also means that spring will last forever, spring always beckons us forward and towards a better future.
